1. After separation, MC and XL sell cheap pork dishes in dock. It's using pork intestines that nobody wants, so price is quite cheap. And MC make it tasty so it's sold out fast every day. Everyday they bring lots of things back and forth (the dishes then return back after buy more ingredients). Li who dissatisfied because the fish the grandpa and yu dashan harvested everyday going less and less (oh the irony!) then tell grandma about MC always bring back lots of stuff from dock. Grandpa must be secretly supply them. Grandma who is stupid then directly barging MC house demanded her bag to be shown. MC then throw her the pig's head and intestines to them. Stating we rather eat this rejected stuff than to beg u! The villagers who watch it sided with MC and pity them because not only grandma forced them out and they have to eat this rejected stuff, this grandma still disturbing them.
2. After that, Li asking around and found out about MC selling those dishes. Li then instigated grandma again to ask MC's recipe. Because grandma clamoring it's for family, so MC gives the recipe, but 'forgot' go mention the intestines need to be clean thoroughly. Grandma then ordered the lazy Li to cook. But she is very lazy and usually never cook. And grandma super stingy, so she use half of the required spices. Grandma also has the audacity to sell it early before MC at dock. So the customer who didn't know ate the grandma's pork, become angry because the taste real bad and demand to be refund. By the time MC come, grandma screamed at MC saying she gives her fake recipes. MC just look at the bowl and ask, when you cook, why did u not clean it up? I tot it's common knowledge to clean ingredients before cooking? And the color of the soup is weak, must be the spices not enough. Grandma cannot refute that because she knew Li is super lazy and she did halved the spices. The customers realized the dishes tainted by poop almost vomit. Since then nobody will buy anything from grandma.
3. After spring, MC plant watermelons in her field. Those watermelons grow up real fast and sweet. MC sell it for high price in town. Li want to instigated grandma again, but grandma now very angry with Li because everytime they tried to do something it will backfire. Li then tried to rob the field, but got caught and punished.
4. Grandma is in desperate need of money because somebody told her youngest son they can get him in the RongXuan academy for 500 silvers. She has 300 silvers she cheated from dad when he got attacked by bear. But she still need more. So she clamoring in front of MC's watermelon's store to get passerby's sympathy. She said, i need 500 silvers for uncle to get into RXA, it's just small money for u who can sell watermelon for 5 silver! Why do u want to kill me like this? MC directly state, i haven't pay taxes, store rent, and seed's fee. 5 silvers is enuf for a family to eat a whole year, how many people can directly bring out 500silvers? Not to mention, RXA is the most prestigious academy in the country. A rich merchant will not hesitate to spend 50.000 silvers, when it will be your turn for 500silvers? U must be fooled! Grandma keep saying it's true, so MC said, well if it's true i will give it to u, but i will ask around 1st. So MC goes to RXA, meet the headmaster (who is huge foodie and let Xiao Shitou to study in the academy for free if MC send him food). She told him about the rumor somebody using RXA name to cheat money. Headmaster then contact the prefecture head and investigate this case. Soon the culprit captured, but the son already cheated 200 silvers. He then tell the grandma he was cheated all the money (300) while keeping the 100 for himself. Grandma with her stinginess then sue the culprit to return all the money. Soon it was exposed the uncle keep the money. RXA headmaster super disgusted by this pair mother son, and make sure they got real bad reputation. So the son was forced out from his school (not RXA) and he will never be accepted at RXA forever.
4. MC really angry and then want to give grandma lesson. So she ordered the stone to scare grandma. At night MC goes out to grandma house, but her brother Yu Hang saw her so MC take him to watch as well. The stone just invoking grandma deepest fear, turn out, grandma saw MC's real grandma's ghost. Grandma (i think i should call her Zhangshi (Zs) from now on) then shouting to real grandma about she is not afraid, and real grandma already dead, why she didn't go? In the middle of it she waking up grandpa who was asleep beside her. Grandpa confuse why Zs screaming about real grandma. Then Zs scream, 'yes i killed u! Who told u to have such good husband? ' (like, duh??? Somebody has good husband then u kill her to replace her???). At the same time, dad turn out behind MC and YH as well and hear what Zs talk. Dad directly barging in and demand her to bring in front of judge. But Zs beg grandpa, she is 3rd uncle mother, if he got murderer parent, he cannot become official in the future. Grandpa even tho he hates her because Zs killed his 1st wife then hesitate. So MC said to them to make Zs write down a confessions with her fingerprint about her killed people. If she dares to come disturb her family again she will put this before judges and ruin the 3rd uncle.
5. Not long after, grandpa who become depressed got accident. When he fishing with YDS, YDS slipped out of the boat. In order to safe him, he got wet and drink a lot of sea water. Later he become sick, and Zs the stingy refuse to call doctor (no money!). Soon normal fever become pneumonia and he vomit blood. Zs then tell Li and YDS it's TBC, and put grandpa to the house previously use by MC. And did not care for him. When MC come to see him, she saw his clothes were dirty by piss and poop, nobody helping to clean him, and he almost died by starvation. So dad come and fight with Zs accuse her try to murder her husband. Zs said it's TBC, everyone afraid to caught it. MC angrily tell her, it's low grade fever that become pneumonia because not treated well. Every doctor should know how to differentiate pneumonia and TBC. Then grandpa who almost dead stated he want to divorce Zs in front of villagers who come to watch the scene. Zs then shamelessly grab the house and the boat. Giving the grandpa no money at all because she still need to fund the 3rd uncle's school. Grandpa then only said this house can be in her hand as long as it will be return to Yu blood and not outsider. MC and her dad took grandpa to their place.
6. The next year, there is big locust raid. MC know it 2 days early from the stone warning. So she tell her dad who then lied to the village chief he met old man with white deer mount in the mountain tell him there will be locust raid (the family all help MC to cover up her ability, and never asked question). So the village chief alert the villagers but there is some people sceptical about this, including Zs. When locust come, all Zs crop got eaten so she got nothing.
7. When ML start to hang around MC's house for free food, Zs secretly meet grandpa to ask ML a recommendation for 3rd uncle. ML super disgusted by Zs, later he humiliate Zs about this request in front of people.
8. After scholar test, XST passed the test but 3rd uncle failed. Zs was deeply believe a fortune teller who told her there will be great official come out from Yu family. At that time, only 3rd uncle goes to school. Now she think XST grab 3rd uncle's fortune. So she make ruckus again in front of MC's house about dad taking family fortune away after they separated. MC then angrily tell everyone maybe it was karma for someone who is murderer and almost murder a husband! Villagers who hear it know about almost murder a husband, but murderer? Who is Zs killed? Then they think, when dad's mom was sick, she almost cured before, but soon become sick again after Zs come and died. Then Zs replace her position. Is Zs killed real grandma? Speculation rumored wildly in the villagers and Zs become pariah.
