We finally launched our ESO Build Editor (beta), go test it out: https://eso-hub.com/en/build-editor
Any feedback is appreciated. We already implemented a few community suggestions. You can drop the feedback either here or in our community Discord in the feedback section.
We also have an account system where you can either set your builds private or public, a public author page looks like this: https://eso-hub.com/en/users/2/alcast/builds

It looks like @gmx and @web email addresse seem to not work. However, you can also login with Discord now that should solve the issue.

We already added community feedback (thanks) to the ESO Build Editor and will continue to improve it. A few examples:
1. You can now select the Vampire Stage 1 - 4
2. Added alternative names for Arena Weapons (So theiy are easier to find)
3. Unlisted Builds - Only people with the link can view the build
4. Login with Discord
5. Auto max all passive CPs with one button
6. Added "Support" role
7. Added an alert if you accidentally leave the page so progress isn't lost.We also updated the Builds page https://eso-hub.com/en/builds
1. You can now search for Author
2. Order by Most Liked or Newest Builds
3. Selectable tags to make build search easier.
4. Added Discord Bot commands for buildsAuthor pages are now also easier to find, you can share the page, add socials, upload avatar. Here is mine as an example: Alcast ESO Hub
We are still working on further improvements and if you have more feedback please let me know, thanks.

Very nice work! Thanks for sharing!
For really useful builds it would be nice the author could easily show and/or briefly describe the rotation.
Ive checked a few builds, and all were leaving it to the player (if youre experienced youll have little problems imaging it, but newbies or even experienced player trying a new class could have issues figuring it out)

This is awesome, love it!
It’s always hard to find the balance with tags of having enough to be specific but not so much to be cumbersome. Personally though, I think it could be helpful to have more sub-categories for both PvE (eg. solo, dungeon, trial) and PvP (eg. Cyrodiil, BGs, ICP, CP, no-CP).
I realise this can be covered with different “setups” within a build, but I’d love to be able to search specifically for BG builds instead of having to wade through all the PvP builds, especially as more get posted.

Thanks, I think a lot of Build creators are testing grounds at the moment with the editor. I am sure more will add rotations or videos eventually.

Thanks, good feedback. I added this to my list. I don't think this is necessary at the moment but when there are more builds on the site maybe it will become too crowded and the tags might make it easier. You can already search for BG in the search bar if players put it into the title (If they do).
When I do a build I often do a Cyrodiil setup and a BG Setup within one build.

Its nice look and feel but its not the most advanced. This calculator : https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData is still most advanced becuase I can get the tooltip in the calculor match exactly to the tooltip in game. With this calculator I can build before farming which is huge because I want the best build but also best investment in time.
Please make your calculator scale with tooltip and you will have the best, keep up the good work love to see it develop.
The build I made : https://eso-hub.com/en/builds/woppa/c9e26280-8e4a-406c-81f1-99784d338ea5/flames-everywhere
I wanted to add a screenshot but got an error message, fyi.

Thanks for the feedback. I see the problem, it will give an error when you upload an image that is too big. We will specify the message so it is clear what the problem is, good feedback.
We might add stats in the future but right now we don't think it is needed. Our editor isn't supposed to be a build simulator (at least not yet). Our editors main goal is ease of access (mobile/desktop) and fast build creation to share with friends.

I would add a section for status effects as it's important support next patch

There is a share button on the top right side of the image. It might be that the share button is easily missed?
Basically there is a share, copy build and like button in the top right side of the image.
About Status Effects, yes we already have this on our backlog, we plan to do a smiliar page like the Major/Minor DeBuffs.

✭✭✭The UESP build editor matches the in-game graphics and includes fewer drill down menus. Maybe the latter is not technically true, but because skills, passives and armor slots are layed out as they are in-game, I find UESP much more intuitive. Then there's the stats to the right with the all important overall weapon / spell power rating for the serious theory-crafter. In fact there is a wealth of detail that appears absent in this new editor, not least the math behind the tooltips. In UESP they match the in-game ones (as best they could manage). This allows you to play around with different build ideas and compare them before farming the gear in game, as @WoppaBoem has noted. I would add that the UESP (temporary) buff pages are also important, for example if you want to assess the burst potential of a PvP build.
The UESP editor has been maintained and refined for years. This new one has the hallmarks of a version 1. It's design looks dictated by what you could quickly knock together with your development tools, rather than matching ZOS gear and skill layout screens that people already understand. The all important background math appears to be missing. So who is this for? It's not for the theory-crafter at this time. I suppose it's a communication tool for sharing your build after you've already tested it in game. I guess that's legit, but I can't help thinking that your time would have been better spent joining forces with UESP and leveraging their all-important back-end math and front-end design work.

Would love a feature much like the USEP editor to have the pen cap, crit cap, and resistance caps calculate for you so people can do some fudgy numbers with the builds. Interface is great!

Yeh, this looks more like it's a way to share a build than theory craft one. Unless I'm missing something, but UESP gives me a lot more information that I need and like when making a build.

Excellent work Alcast and thank you for the time you have put into it, The layout is very user friendly and easy to navigate. My only feedback would be to have some more information/stats available after your build is completed.
Thanks again.

I really enjoyed playing around with the editor and just have one particular suggestion. Adding an option to specify that you're creating a non-combat niche character would be great! I wanted to load my speed-farming build as well as my thief/assassin build, but there's not really a good way (for now) to classify them.

In the guide section of a build you can already add outfit styes and achievements yourself if you want, example here: https://eso-hub.com/en/builds/alcast/6a9383b2-79af-49b7-b45e-9045262d29a0/powerful-one-bar-sorcerer-build-dual-wield-for-eso-dps-pve#guide
If you add a brackets between an item then it will auto link, for example [Annihilarch's Chosen Dagger] will add a link to https://eso-hub.com/en/fashion-outfits/annihilarchs-chosen/annihilarchs-chosen-dagger

@OolongSnakeTea @fred4
@Brrrofski is correct, the idea behind this is that we want players to share their builds. It isn't meant as a "Build Simulator", I think many ppl use UESP to simulate and theorycraft builds with numbers. Ours is here to quickly share your build with an easy overview.
Also don't forget, 60%+ on websites is mobile users, therefore we like to focus on ease of use and accessibility. However, in the future we might add more functions to the editor, so this isn't completely out of the question.

Thanks for the info. You can select the "other" role for that. We could add more roles but I think it will get too much diluted eventually. We will monitor and see how ppl use the different tags and if needed, add more.

The stats you see are from a naked character, basically the base stats. You can add a screenshot of your build if you want to showcase the "true stats" of certain things. For example like I did here with one of my builds: https://eso-hub.com/en/builds/alcast/e40aae5f-e529-46e8-857a-305daa136c25/powerful-one-bar-templar-healer-build-for-eso-healer-pve#screenshots

Thanks for the response!Your reasoning is all valid! I just love the interface you have set up for the build editor, and how accessibly it is.
It isn't to downplay USEP for the number simulator, but it can be tedious to use, and have to do all that math. It is simply put, the Build Editor you guys made, is a better interface for accessibility and quick makes.
